It's gonna explode smh
Redon, thank you for this video. It helped me greatly. Yes ladies, you too can install your car battery I drive a Suzuki 2008 Canadian version. After the installation I drove around the block to get rid of the flashing ESP light, held the tilt button on the sunroof for 10 seconds to get the sunroof to work and reset the radio and tempmileage settings using the owners manual. One bit of advise, spray WD40 on the nutsbolts as it makes it easier to remove.
For those of you who are having issues with the engine shutting off after replacing the batter, this link may help. Apparently this is a common issue but the steps to resolve are in the posts. You have to discharge the capacitor and clean the throttle body so that the ECU can reset to optimum setting from what I understand. Not sure if it works, but I am also having this issue and am about to try it out. Good luck.
Hi same as one of the other comments, I just changed the battery and the car stalls when I put it in park. This is happening each time even after running on the highway. I don't think it is the battery. Is there some kind of reset? Thanks Peter
Thank you for your review. Im looking to buy a 2008 Vitara 2. 7. Would you recommend it? The one im looking for has 43K kilometers. Thanks
this is my wifes account. I am a lisenced tech. we were a Suzuki dealer till Suzuki backed out of Canada.
release the gas pedal. reinstall the intake tube. then you are done. it will be a little hard to start because it is like it is flooded. put hold the gas pedaldown to get it started. then rev it for a bit to clear it out. it might smoke a bit so do it outside. but once it is cleared out the problem will be gone.
I just had a grand vitara come into my shop today with the same issue as yours. you have to do a throttle body cleaning in order for the throttle to learn it complete closed position. remove the air intake tube, turn the key to the on position, use something to push the gas pedal down. this will open the throttle plate. DO NOT PUSH THE PLATE OPEN BY HAND USE THE PEDAL get air intake cleaner and a old toothbrush, spray and scrub the flap and all around the sides. wipe clean with a rag.
You should not have any problems. The only things that should happen when replacing the battery is the ABS or ESP I don't remember which will turn on until you begin to drive the vehicle, and the sunroof if you have one will need to be reset by pressing and holding the tilt up button for around 10 seconds.
how do you reset the car computer? because after i replaced the battery the car stall's everytime i go to neutral?
