Very nice helpful video, thanks the only problem was you did not disconnect the battery before you remove the bracket! You were lucky your tool did not touch the positive keep up the good work.
When i connect the battery to my vw passat diesel. The horn starts blasting and the wipers go full blast. Nothing else works. No electric windows, no start nothing. What am i doing wrong?
Great information but you could ve shortened video by at least minutes
This battery change was a bit different than what i m used to but the explanation demonstration was excellent. My vehicle has the original factory air intake but it was easy to remove and reinstall. All in all a straightforward and simple but not cheap repair. Thanks for the vid!
I suggest covering the positive terminal while screwing the battery clamp down. Prevent any chance of shorting the battery.
Well done sir! Thanks for detailed instructions.
Go into settings convenience window op and turn the feature back on. Hope this helps.
Hi, i got tsi polo and i just changed the battery, i ve reset the windows but the automatic windows opener closeer with a long press on remote fob does not work any more. Do you know how to reset that? How to make it work, thanks in advance
Vw model cc where is the battery
Please respond. Im about to change the battery on a sb my stock. Removing the metal clip down the side looks really tricky, what happens if you drop it by accident? Is it safe to do this for a beginner?
Thank you. This video was a great help.
Great video, very detailed
Where did u get that air filter? Wonder if it will fit my cc. T. Looks really nice on your car. Thanks for post btw just changed my battery.
Thanks so much for this post. I had to replace mine today on a gti. Went super easy thanks to this vid. For those with a stock airbox like me it really wasn t bad to get to the battery holder bolt. Get the primary airtake out of the way pop one clip, remove hose and then pop off the secondary air intake hose for those that have them. After that, loosen the half dozen or so captive screws captive so you don t have to sweat losing them and this will allow you to swing the box and air intake far enough out of the way so you can access the mm bolt with no bloody knuckles and actually no cussing for that matter. Other than that this video nails it. Minute job taking my time and being careful. Or in driveway mechanic terms, beers.
You re welcome, glad to help! Interesting to know that the a is so similar.
Thanks a lot for uploading this video. So i could properly change the battery in my audi a sportback. Thanks again and greetings from palermo italy
Extremely helpful video! Thank you for uploading!
Thanks for the video! The tip about the plastic shroud worked great and good note about the plastic plug for the front vent hole. You re the first where i have heard of it. New battery had a plastic bag attached with plug in it so i matched as you did. Took me all of mins for my golf. And no, stock air intake is not in the way.
Well done, thanks for the detailed video
Glad to help, good luck with it!
